I Luv U!!!

Alrighty, well, I haven’t been blogging in a while. And, I’ve been afraid I’ve been losing my edge. Since I haven’t given into my Twilight-addiction recently I had no idea what is going on in our bloggy-world.  I’ve found that my addictions to reading and writing are very, well, addicting! I am EXTREMLY close to finishing my novel, and would like to share pieces of it with you lovely people here shortly. And I have read, “Wintergirls,” and, “What My Girlfriend Doesn’t Know,” and found them both to very good books. Now, there is also another addiction I have just come into. Social interacting. That’s how this post came to be! I found myself texting my boyfriend more. I found us having more convesations–and more serious topics–over text then in real life. We spent Halloween together, and then we addressed out social networking addictions. For example, I have been welcomed into the Twitter and Facebook world, and have found it extremly intriguing. I finally convinced him to get a Twitter.

So, I found myself wondering, what if Bella and Edward talked virtually?

Would that have changed the book any?

What if Bella actually text messaged, like a normal high-schooler? Now doubt Edward would text also. And that made me think even further. You know all those cutsie texting abbreviations everyone uses? Well, my boyfriend and I sometimes use those. But things such as, ‘IDK’ drive me crazy and I have to spell out the phrase, ‘I don’t know.’ And why do people put ‘luv’ and ‘u’ and ‘r’ when they could just add one or two more letter to spell the REAL word? But, Edward, being all old-timey, and dazzling, and such, would he us texting abbreviations like that? Or would he spend Carlisle’s never ending bank account and type the full words? And what happens when Edward runs up the cell bill? <laughs> That shows you how intellectually I think in my spare time :-)

But, does it ever bother you? Okay, I get that Edward isn’t a normal teenager, but what’s wrong with being normal? I’m not saying every kid has a cell phone, but it seems that way. Without my cell my boyfriend and I’s relationship would still just be blooming. What would it be like for Edward and Bella?

Think about that…Make me feel somewhat normal in my crazy thoughts…

-Sarah

Sorry I couldn’t type more. Time hasn’t been giving me many gifts lately.

It was a great post, Sarah! I’m glad you decided to post it. And I’m with Brittany — you should totes write a fanfic featuring nothing but texts between Bella and Edward! It would be 2 cute 4 sure. ;)
