Gracie’s Challenge

How many of you watched in amazement as Taylor Lautner totally transformed his body…do you admire the looks, figures, and  styles of the Cullen women?  I know I do.  Granted, very often , these people are assisted by professional trainers, make-up artists, and hair stylists…but they are constantly in the public eye and we have seen them sans assistance…doing it on their own.  I think it is safe to say that they are not natural beauties (maybe Ashley, but she is the only one.)  Taylor wanted that role in NEW MOON and worked his butt off.  I think we all agree, regardless of which “Team” you’re on, the results are mouth watering!  This past weekend, while attending NEW MOON, I did some serious people watching.  It was so sad to see that so many of the women there just looked awful!  They  looked as if they were in pain, wearing outfits that were way too tight on bodies that deserved kinder attention.  Some thought it was appropriate to have that “just rolled out of bed look” with creased clothing, unkempt hair, and not a bit of make-up.  To be perfectly honest, the crowd looked very rough around the edges when it came to grooming or fitness.  How bizarre, to recognize and admire beauty and yet not direct some effort and attention to oneself!

So, sister Danger Magnets, Gracie is asking you…do you want to shed some pounds…stop biting your nails…how about working out and toning up…or take a little more time putting yourself together?  What would it take to make you look like a Cullen or cause a werewolf to whimper out of longing for you?  There are exactly seven months between NEW MOON and ECLIPSE.  How about using that time to work on something that makes you look and feel better?  I think we should use this time to give ourselves a “tune-up”.  We expect our celebrity favorites to continuously put forth their best, and they seldom let us down.  Let’s stop letting ourselves down.  As for me, I’m really careful about my diet, but when it comes to exercise…I’m a SLUG!  This morning, I listened to my iPod and walked one mile.  It isn’t marathon material, but for me it was quite an accomplishment and a great start!  I’m making a vow to give up soda…from now on WATER!  I want to start thinking healthy and glamorous…How about you?  Are you in?????  Each week, I’m going to let you know how I’m doing on my project and I hope you feel comfortable enough to participate and share what it is you are working on and how you are doing.  Please join me…if we work together, the next seven months will fly by and we will look and feel better for the opening of ECLIPSE.  If all you want to do is love a fictional character, well, maybe you won’t want to get involved.  However, if you really do want more, put some time and energy into yourself. I urge you to join me in my seven month self-improvement pact.  Doing it together will make it fun.  TWILIGHT audiences are the best…now, let’s look the best.

Love and hugs,

Gracie

    BRAVO!!!!! I totally agree…
I have been working on myself since I became addicted to this franchise. First step is confidence in yourself, then the rest comes soooo easy. Makeup, good hair, a “I didn’t just roll out o bed” outfit…maybe some black boots…and BANG! LOVED to see someone say this outloud.

Holy shit, Batman! Are you serious? I don’t know how much undamage I can do to myself in seven months, but it’s better than doing more damage. Is it wrong that this motivates me where other things in my life have not?! I wish I could say that I watch what I eat and that I’m not addicted to Diet Pepsi (Rob’s only downfall is that he’s a Coke addict!), but there’s no hiding the evidence. Okay. Let’s do this. I am out of Diet Pepsi at home and was actually going to make trip just to get some. I will try and do the water thing. One day at a time. Thanks, Gracie!

Great post! I’m also motivated to lose some weight and feel better about myself — on the inside and out! :-)

Just had to check back in and let you know that I made it through the entire day with only one Diet Pepsi. Major accomplishment. One day at a time . . .

I am so delighted that some of you are joining me in my quest to look and feel better. I wish more of my Danger Magnet sisters would recognize the fact that all of us could benefit from a little work on ourselves…and support the challenge. You’re right, Lisa, it is one day at a time…but know that if you are having a weak day, well, I’m here to offer some support. We need to be there for each other(as any Cullen or pack member would be there for each other.) Be careful at the Thanksgiving table, for those who are working on weight issues ,..but if you slip up, DON’T GET DISCOURAGED. Friday is a NEW MOON! Take care…Love and hugs…Gracie

You know what, I’m in. I’m pretty good about what I eat and drink but I’m also a total slug. Besides running around after my toddler I’m a total couch potato. That’s it…time to start using the treadmill that’s collecting dust in my basement. I need to get some muscles under this flabby white exterior :)

I want to look good for Eclipse, but my extra motivation? Me and the other two Twiangle gals are thinking of taking a twication to Forks/Portland/Vancouver next June. Must. Look. Hot.

Welcome to the challenge RSM. This is going to be great. We are going to be so ready for Eclipse. As far as your trip is concerned…well, the folks in Forks will be talking about you and your HOTNESS long after you have returned home. Try getting your friends to join in. Love and hugs…Gracie

I am in! I have been lacking motivation to start losing weight. I started 2 weeks ago by kicking my Energy Drink addiction. Now I am working on dropping soda, and hitting the gym.

    This was a great idea!

Good for you, KG. Welcome to our little project. I don’t know about you, but, for me, just making the decision to get off my butt and start doing this for myself has put me in a good mood. I’m really excited about this endeavor! Have a wonderful holiday…Love and hugs……Gracie

I want to join. Really need to loose some weight and shape up. This year I’ve had a real hard time with motivation aobut anything that wasn’t Twilight related. Hoopefully this challange will help.

OK, so TwitardedMom sent me here to…er…commit myself. *grin* I’ve already been making the effort to get rid of the pop/soda. The real challenge is comming up though…Christmas Cookies!! I will be strong!!

  18. Comment by Gracie Wynn in December 4, 2009 @ 4:01 pm

Welcome to the challenge, Tammy. You’re going to be as cute as a Cullen…see, it is TWILIGHT related.
If you ever feel as if you are losing your motivation…just drop me a line, I promise to get back to you. We are in this together!
    Love and hugs…Gracie

Dear Twiweasel…welcome to the challenge…now about those cookies, listen this is going to be something with which we are all going to have to deal. How are you at moderation? Perhaps you can plan out your meals in such a way that you are able to allow yourself a few cookies. Try cutting back on something else. I have given up bread…honestly I haven’t had a slice of bread or a roll or bagel since April. I don’t even miss it anymore. The trade-off for me is a hazelnut iced coffee and real salad dressing ( but I dip the salad in a little dressing…no more salad soup…I used to think the lettuce was there to hold up the dressing!)
Whatever works! Take care and keep in touch!
    Love and hugs..Gracie

I am supposed to be working a 28 day yoga program, but somehow got off track after day 9. Why oh why is it so hard to get motivated to exercise? Maybe thinking of unusual positions from Twi-smut will help me follow thru on yoga.

  21. Comment by GRACIE WYNN in December 6, 2009 @ 1:24 am

    Here goes, Tammy…it isn’t really yoga you are doing;
it’s a Quileute ritual performed before embarking on hours of the most incredible sex…guaranteed to make both of you howl! Follow that with a moonlit walk on the beach at La Push. Sure, it’s cold…but you have your own personal “WOLF” to keep you warm. With his arms wrapped around you, he leans down to kiss you…you feel his HOT breath on your neck and then…and then…sorry Tammy…I have to go do some yoga!
